Is Email Marketing Still Effective?

By Joseph Stan

Email is still one of those things everyone keeps saying that you need to do, in fact many say that the money is in the list. But there is a right way to do email marketing and there is a wrong way. In this article I plan to give you a few pointers that are going to teach you how to get the most out of your email marketing efforts. One of the major things you can do so that people can recognize your brand is using email templates. Using your logo and colors in your emails will most likely improve your open rates by 20%.

It's important that are certain you are sending correspondence only to those eager to receive it. When you do a mass mailing to random recipients, they are often received in a spam filter. They won't know who you are, and then they will think about whether they care at all about the actual content or your email. They're likely to delete your email, wasting everyone's time, so mass spamming is not the way to get customers.

When writing your emails keep the subject line brief and to the point. Concise subject lines are more effective at capturing the reader's attention than wordy ones. If a long subject line is unavoidable, at least lead with the most relevant information so that is doesn't get truncated upon delivery.

Adding someone to your mailing list, without their permission, is downright wrong. If you send your email to people that didn't agree to receive it, you can make them a little irritated. That can tarnish your image. If your email provider receives numerous complaints, they may decide to drop you as a client.

Hopefully these email marketing tips can give you a few ideas on what to do and what not do when it comes to marketing using emails. If you apply these tips it will most likely help you get better results with your business and get you more eyeballs to your business, opportunity or product.
