In turn footing might cause a stampede.

Keep human animal interference from sea shores. Clear off any plants and relocate animals that may exist near the shores. Marine life should be keep far apart from swimming areas to avoid attacks. Most marine animals may cause fatalities and injuries hence it is advisable for swimmers to stay close at shore. It ensures life guards can keep a close eye on them. Avoid animal provocation.

It is normal for persons to get trapped in sea currents. One is advised to stay calm till the current settles. Do not oppose it since it may result to injuries in the long run. Swim parallel to the current and if not, stay afloat on the water till it settles. One may have been moved away but swim towards the shore when calm returns.

For persons trapped in water, seek assistance from lifeguards and experienced swimmers. However, where the two are not there, it is advisable to call the emergency line for assistance. Meanwhile, throw the victim floating items, for example a life jacket. An inflatable ball may come in handy so as the person to stay afloat. Proceed to giving instructions on how to avoid currents.
