By Mueller Kurt

If you'd like to start a blog and make money, try adding something like Google AdSense to your site. Every time someone clicks the ads, Google pays you. Tips and tricks like this are the tickets to extra cash. Read this article for more tips on how to make money blogging!

Use tags correctly. Tags let you categorize your posts into different categories, which can then be searched by readers. Each of your posts should have two or three tags. Make sure you use the same words for similar posts (don't have a "bikes" and "biking" tag, for example), and don't give posts too many tags, as this tends to clutter up categories.

Be as accessible to your readers as possible. You should remember that your blog is important to many readers so address their comments regularly. Connections help you to gain readers, repeat visitors and referrals to friends and family. When you start feeling like you want to give up, keep in mind that your readers will be very disappointed.

Use the correct spam filter for comments. If you require registration to comment, a CAPTCHA on the registration page is usually sufficient to keep spammers away. If you allow anonymous comments, an "advanced CAPTCHA," that is, one that asks the user for "the number of hours in a day" or something similar is usually enough. Avoid services like Akismet, as these produce lots of false positives.

Do not post a blog and move on. You need to interact with people who leave comments on your blog. When your readers know that they can have a conversation with you via your blog, you are more likely to keep them as active readers who follow what you are doing. If you post without commenting, eventually your readers will move on to greener pastures.

Regularly post new content to your blog. If you make a concerted effort to produce new content regularly, your audience will not only return, but they will recommend your blogs to others. Try to post at least daily, if possible. By not posting new content, readers will have no reason to come back to your blog. If possible, try to make at least one post per day.

Keep your individual post focused on one point. Blog with the full knowledge that you will be making many subsequent posts and if you tell everything in the beginning you may not have anything left to say later! Think of your blogs as being the spokes in a wheel. By themselves they are important but as a wheel they are incredibly important.

Since blogging is on a personal level you should avoid writing formally. You should still write in a professional manner and use proper grammar. Your readers will be able to relate to you more when you are writing to them in a casual way and will continue reading your blogs.

Invite bloggers who are extremely successful to write some blog blogs on your site. This will add more interesting content to your blog. Furthermore, you should get some additional traffic from the guest blogger's blog, when the guest blogger informs his or her readers of the guest post. Use several bloggers to do this and create more rich content.

Whenever possible, utilize header tags in order to separate particular sections of your blog posts. All the different tags that you should use are H1, H2, and H3 tags. In addition, you should ensure that you are using excellent search engine keywords whenever you can in all these different headers.
