By William Nelson

Entering into this field shall send a lot of challenges along your way. You may have the skills but you need to hardness everything that comes with it. That is the only way that your career will progress and bring you closer to your dream position. It may take time but it is not that entire impossible.

The clarity of your voice is very important in here. The number one rule for a professional voice talent is to never eat your words. Stress may dawn into you but you should fit it with everything you can. Be firm in getting the things that you want in your career and you shall soon be familiar with the different modules.

You need to be very confident. Remember that you are playing out a character. Unless your role is to become a shy person, that is the only time when one is allowed is allowed to show some reservation. Just put in your mind that you were born for this. You are not drawn to this profession for nothing.

Feel the lines even when you already look stupid sometimes. What is vital is that you are doing an excellent job and you are beating everybody to their game. Care less of what people have to say. Be in the moment especially when one is in a sound proof booth. Let this be your chance to show what you got.

You have to kill your ego no matter how hard that is. Remember that you still have a lot to learn and this can be a life long career. So, surround yourself with the kind of people who can help with your professional growth. This shall help keep you in line and gain more friends in the industry at this point.

You should have that sense of gentleness in you. Remember that the firmness in your voice needs to be sustained until the end of the shift. That will not happen if you are forceful with your lines in the beginning. Slowly build the audience because like you, they are waiting for the part when it all explodes.

Always warm up. You might end up talking for several hours a day. So, stretch a little bit and make sure that one brings a bottle of lukewarm water with you all the time. Do not take your body for granted. When you feel suffocated, you need to stand up and take a little break outside.

Do your assignment to show that you take your job seriously. It is essential that you always make a good first impression. Moreover, try not to lose your focus no matter what happens. Do not waste this opportunity to make something more out of yourself.

Be independent enough to do your own practice. However, learn to listen to what your seniors have to say. They have a wider experience to you and questioning them will only put your career in jeopardy. Recognize the level of authority at this point and your future will be in a safer point from then on.
