It is a given that there are times when finding employment is a hard task alone. That is why, it is fine for the person to seek for the help of the retained executive search firms. If he can find such a company within his vicinity, then he can surely find help with the employment that he is looking forward to.

When it comes to this matter, it is appropriate for the person to remember that it is the same with working with other people. If he is going to ask for the assistance of the consultant, then he should be prepared to work his part of the job hunt. There are some responsibilities that he has to fulfill and things he must avoid to do when searching for a job, after all.

It is only appropriate for him to behave himself when it comes to the said working relationship. It is for this reason that the person should look for ways on how he can make the working relationship between the them a smoother one. First, it is only appropriate for him to know more about the company. He should not confuse it with any other companies in existence nowadays. It is important for him to send his resume to the said company. This is so that the company can determine whether his skills and qualifications are useful in some industry. Do not forget to sincerely show appreciation for the help of the consultant. Regardless of whether he can take the job or not, he should be grateful.

He should not argue with the consultant when the company he wants to apply to does not see him as the best candidate. It is not easy on the consultant too. It is only natural to get rejected from one or two companies. If he is really a good person, then he should be able to handle the rejection with grace. Do not hesitate to say thanks for being presented as a candidate.

It is not a good thing for the person to circumvent the company's process. There are many stages for the process that the company uses for finding the right candidate for their client. Since this is already the case, it is not appropriate for him to call up the client himself and inquire about the status of his candidacy.

He should be patient. Once he has sent his resume to the company, it is already being processed. If he does not want to have a fall out with the company, then he should be patient with their process. It is fine if follows up on the process every now and then but he should set some limitations to it. Making it excessive can be annoying.

No negotiations when it comes to the salary. When it comes to the salary, the retained executive search firms are trying their best to land the best rate for the both the candidate and client. He should accept it with grace.
