Guides In Creating Unique Promotional Gifts

By Brian Phillips

Promotional gifts are used by companies in promoting themselves and the products or services they have. These will help in communicating what your brand stands for and makes it more memorable for them. These are usually given during events, trade shows or even at sidewalks to market it to the people.

Common items being given with this particular purpose are pens, mugs and tote bags with the name of your brand written on them. Although there are those who are handing out unique promotional gifts to stand out from the rest and give a long lasting impression. Here are some advices in crafting them for your company which you may give out next time.

Make something that does not fit in an envelope and more at home in a box or package. This will build anticipation for the people you gave it to and they would be excited to open it soon. They would also have no idea on what they will be receiving creating an element of surprise in the process.

To make the item stick in their memory better, have them do something to it upon receipt. One of the examples of these is made by a company for dental hygiene where the ice cream they gave away were place on a stick that is shaped the same as a toothbrush to remind them to always brush their teeth after the food is eaten. These items inclining actions to be taken by the receiver is better.

Make it relevant with your business so it will be easy for them to connect it with your products and services. These can be things that are telling a related story of your company which means something to the business. The benefits will also be shown when your business is being patronized by them.

Avoid making it look cheap or generic even though you have to make sure that the gifts are not expensive to produce. Be creative in making them look classy to have a good impression on them. And there are those that are not allowed to accept expensive gifts because of the nature of their work so there is that as well.

Do not forget to include your brand logo in the items to remind them on who they came from. This must be placed in a prominent area but make sure that it does not destroy the aesthetic of the object. Making your logo as big as the object will make it very visible to the people but it will give them an idea that you are pushing your name too hard.

Select an item that can last, not the same as flowers which withers away or food that must be eaten right away. This will be a reminder for them even years have passed since you gave the present to them. It would be great if you could craft something they can display proudly inside their house or they can use sometimes.

And finally, put in a special effort in making them and let it show for the recipient to feel the effort you have given it. A concept that has not been done by others or just by a very few ones will make a great impact to your customers. It would also be a fun time for your team to exercise their creativity.
