Perhaps the builder is intending to pitch and market his development as some kind of verdant paradise, or some oasis in the middle of the concrete jungle that is the city.

The bylaws of the HOA outlines these conditions and other facets of responsibilities. The mandatory fees are usually more common in condominiums and communities where there are common amenities to be considered such as park areas, swimming pools, security gates, parking areas, clubhouses, and even pieces of signage. However hefty these responsibilities can get, its worth noting that the aforementioned membership and obligatory payments are usually outlined beforehand in the condition of purchase.

A fee is usually levied upon the members, and the proceeds of which usually go to activities and projects that cater to common interests like parks, swimming pools, signage, and other forms of maintenance.

Because of their extensive list of bylaws and conditions, plus their mandatory membership and accordingly obligatory fees, its common for HOAs to be frowned upon by some. Needless to say, they also have their champions and supporters. Howsoever, what to keep in mind is the motley of considerations to take into account before one goes on to settle in a particular house and neighborhood.
