Finding The Best Theater Seats

By April Briggs

The theater has evolved dramatically over the years and ages. Back in the olden days the theaters were a popular venue for performance arts most cities had one. Aging from as back as the seventeenth century, this entertainment spots used to be a place where plays were recreated from the best composers of the time like William Shakespeare. Music was also shown in all the theaters. The likes of Johan Sebastian Bach were listened to in theaters. To this day, this concept has lived on and just like in olden days, finding the best theater seats is important.

In this world, the most common kind of theaters is the movie theaters. Billions of people every year turn up to these places to watch their favorite movies. This is because moves have come to replace the plays that people used to very much enjoy. In this new generation very few people have gone to theater to watch plays. To keep this crowd happy, movie theater owners have come up with a very effective sitting arrangement. The person in front of you is seated a few inches below you; this means that everyone has a clear view of the screen.

Due to this standardized way of seating, your experience in the movie theaters differs by the sound quality and clarity. It cannot be standard since the speakers have to be placed differently. In this respect, if you want to have the best cinema experience you are better of sitting in areas where the sound quality is high and almost realistic. The sound you get determines the kind of impact a movie will have on you.

Sitting on the right hand side in a movie theater or cinema has been seen to be preferred by most people. Some would say that they sit there since it is the first place they looked when they got in the hall. This may be true but a study showed that this is no coincidence. Your body makes this subconscious decision since by sitting there it allows for the processing of information by the right brain hemisphere. This means that since the right hemisphere is involved with emotions, the movie will have a greater impact on you.

The kind of people who sit around you also play a role to the impact the film will have to you. Sometimes you may be surrounded by people who keep disturbing you in the course of the movie. Or people who keep giving you spoilers if the film is based on a book they have read. Next time you go to a theater you should try and avoid these places.

Couples, mostly spouses prefer taking seats at the back of the cinema. This place provides a perfect mood since it is often dark. This means they can make out in between scenes, or even laugh to their inside jokes without disturbing many people.

Different movie cinemas have different show quality and formats, in IMAX for example, the screen is usually curved to ensure best reception. For this reason it is always good to look for a position where you have a great view of the entire screen.

To conclude, these tips can be very helpful if you want to have the best movie experience. Make sure you consider them each time you go to the movies.
