A Simple Hamster Is Probably Wiser Than Your Boss

By Tony Ridley

Management is a vast area where three main people are relating to each other. The first person is the manager, the second one is a team of personnel and third one is the workplace together with the customer. What is the reason why managers need to practice the qualities of the hamsters? Are they going to put themselves inside a cage? Are they going to play on slides and tiny balls? Are they going to eat sunflower seeds and cheese curls? What do you mean when you say the word manager?

Why hamster management? Perhaps the workplace setting is one big microcosm of the world - not unlike one gigantic Dilbert cartoon or TV episode in the making . When we talk about managing one company, personnel should always look at the managers with respect. They should follow what their managers say and ask. They should not betray the person who molds them into better persons and excellent employees. When it comes to plan, a manager should not do it alone.

There should be cooperative ideas from the personnel and of course, a plan that lasts for a long period of time. There should be a good source of investment that benefits both managers and employees and not only for the company's sake. What about playing safely and not to go outside the limits? A manager should not invest to the outside world unless he knows the tactics to succeed. He should not put the company in distress when problems arise and there is no visible solution to it.

Managers are the best players in this industry. This is highest rank in a marketing position that each worker aims. However, what was the principle of Spiderman related to power and responsibility? According to him 'with great power comes with great responsibility.' and being a manager comes with lots of tasks.

What are managers? Are they born or made? Actually, they are molded individuals from novice workers. They did not get the position as fast as a rocket science. They worked hard for it. They are individuals governing a small group of personnel with a company. They are making decisions based on skills and not with instincts. They are providing rules for the benefit of all.
