Allowing Online Marketing To Help WWE Developmental

By Robbie Sutter

World Wrestling Entertainment is deeply rooted in television but what about other programs which exist outside of it? If you are able to look hard enough, I guarantee that it won't be long until you find yourself watching NXT. This is seen as WWE's own developmental territory and it is able to help stars in the making mature in all respects. I think that this is integral but if the stars truly want to have the fans behind them, I believe online marketing can help in many ways.

It's unfortunate that NXT is not on television because I feel as though there are many stars ready to land on television. There are those will agree as well and I cannot help but feel like Sami Zayn is the prime example. Even though he has been working hard to get better on NXT, he actually has years of experience under his belt because of the independent circuit outside of WWE. Throw in the idea of social media being an effective tool and his visibility has limitless potential.

Of course, it's worth talking about female talent and NXT has two standouts in Paige and Emma. The two ladies are very different from one another, the former being an aggressive brawler and the latter being a skilled yet fun-loving dancer of sorts. Their characters couldn't be any further apart and yet they work well in order to produce great matches. There may be variety intact but I say that it is needed so that fans aren't short on options for those to cheer on.

That being said, what can be done as far as online marketing is concerned for these men and women? I believe that it's worth bringing more attention to their Facebook and Twitter pages, interacting with fans all the while. With this being done, fans are more like to stay in contact with them and who's to say that new fans wouldn't be attained as a result? Communication is important in any line of work and firms such as fishbat would be able to agree with such a sentiment.

NXT is, in my mind, the best programming that WWE has been able to put on and there are many reasons for this. The wrestling itself is usually stellar and I find myself invested in the work that these young men and women go about doing. It's also interesting to see into the future, in a way, by watching these people work in the best of ways possible. NXT stands as my favorite show of WWE's and I am sure that those who watch would be able to agree.
